Job Purpose

Role and responsibilities: This role is to support and manage the sales support function within the business.

Please note: this role is hands on and is suitable for somebody who has managed a small team, has experience in end to end sales support, enjoys the variety within a role and likes to get involved.

* Customers
* Sales Executives
* Internal Departments e.g. Orders, Samples, Warehouse

Key Responsibilities:



* Sales order Processing on Sage Line 50
* To supervise the daily operational activities of the Sales Admin team and monitor performance
* Creating sales orders and passing to the warehouse for packing
* Processing payments via a PDQ machine
* Booking stock into Sage when received into warehouse
* Liaise with accountant regarding incoming customer payments
* Dealing with couriers for quotes and problem solving i.e. lost parcels etc.
* Liaise with production re' stock requirements via works manager
* Raising purchase orders for stock
* To develop and supervise an effective Sales Admin function
* Maximise customer satisfaction and minimise complaints
* To ensure all reporting is effective and timely
* To ensure effective programmes of continuous improvement throughout the Sales Admin function

General Responsibilities:



* To ensure that sales admin enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
* To ensure that effective communication from Sales Admin is maintained across the business
* To deal with escalated customer complaints and ensure that good customer relations are maintained
* To maintain high standards of discipline and professionalism in the Sales Admin office
* To encourage Sales Admin team input and implement, and where appropriate suggest changes
* To work alongside, support and supervise warehouse team

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities:



* 5 + years Sales Support experience
* Must have experience in manageing a small team
* Fully competent on Sage Line 50 is essential
* Meticulous and careful with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to write SOP's and ensure the team adheres to them
* Process driven
* Needs to reinforce and maintain the concept of good customer service to all the Sales Admin team
* Proven ability to analyse stock figures and trends
* Motivated, disciplined, driven
* Passionate and caring with a firm but fair supervisory style
* Experience in dealings with International companies
* Experience in creating stat's, figures and any other information required by management in a timely and easily understood format
* Experienced in export procedures, paperwork, documentation would be advantageous
* Evidence of strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and encourage staff, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from executive to administrative levels, and to produce effective summaries and reports as required
* Highly-motivated self-starter, with a positive, professional attitude, strong work ethic, and critical attention to detail
* High degree of personal integrity and professional accountability
