An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Performance Analyst to join our client, a global Asset Manager based in the city of London.

Key responsibilities of the Performance Analyst will include:
-Provide Performance Measurement Services within Investment Analytics
-Provide necessary support to other Investment Analytics Functions, Equity, Multi-Asset & Fixed Income Attribution Teams as well as GIPS Services, Change Management and JV Oversight
-Management Information Statistic (MIS) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) maintenance
-Produce accurate and timely Performance data
-Performance reporting follows a monthly cycle for the Institutional Marketing / Fund Managers / Senior Management.
-Provide technical expertise on Performance & Attribution to clients and other departments
-Assists where necessary to produce ad-hoc Performance data for other Departments
-Provide feedback to the Investment Decision Process.
-Maintain strong internal / external relations
-Performance reporting to be completed within SLA targets
-Project work, including on-boarding new clients, new systems and liaising with multiple stakeholders

The ideal Performance Analyst will possess the following attributes/skills:
-The successful candidate will be joining a team of portfolio analysts, responsible for the provision of Investment Analytics to a various client base.
-Candidates need to have strong Performance and Analytics experience gained in an asset management house or alternatively with a strong knowledge of asset management industry, gained from previous roles ( PM Support, Fund Accountant, Client Services as long as reporting was part of core responsibilities)
-Although the role is on a temporary contract, desired candidates need to have more of a permanent employee mind set ( i.e. ownership, being pro-active and can do attitude, as well as hard working)
-Candidates must have a good academic background and preferably, but not essential having completed IMC and/or any relevant professional qualification.
-Candidates need to be used to process large volumes of data and being able to prepare reports (some complex, using multiple data points and sources) in a timely fashion, without compromising accuracy.
-Computer literacy, preferably excellent knowledge of Excel (95% of the role is performed in Excel) and good VBA or Macro writing skills.
-The role requires long hours at certain periods, invariable month end (first two weeks of each month) and quarter ends (stretching to 3rd week), so that is something that the candidates will need to be aware of
- Good understanding of the Back to Middle Office structure of a Bank as well as the Asset Management Industry from an operational point of view.
-Good knowledge of different asset classes (i.e Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternative Investments)
-Good management, leadership and team working skills.
-Strong writing, communication and presentation skills to audiences of different sizes and levels of seniority.
-Proficiency in data vendor systems such Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Factset & StatPro (a big advantage)
-Bachelors Degree in finance, business or equivalent experience
-Previous Industry Experience
