A beautiful SEN primary unit with brilliant facilities and top of the range equipment in Bradford is looking to appoint a Teacher for their PMLD class on a long-term contract basis (with the potential to extend). The role will involve providing essential and life-changing support and teaching to these pupils with learning difficulties. The successful applicant will have experience in SEN settings or specifically with individuals with PMLD. This is a rewarding and fulfilling opportunity to make a difference in these children's lives through an understanding and caring approach to education with a specialist focus. The successful applicant will be required to teach children with complex needs, leading the class and planning their days to effectively engage the children with their work and learning.

The role will include:
To plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons
Assist children in the class to make sure they are on track
Liaise with support staff to ensure the smooth running of the class
To support the general well-being of the students
To monitor and evaluate learners learning
Enable learners to access the curriculum through a variety of techniques
Fully utilise Teaching Assistant with the classroom to support aspects of teaching and behaviour management

Qualified teacher status essential
Experience with SEN/PMLD children essential
To be able to work with learners with various learning difficulties
A desire to encourage children to succeed
A caring, patient and calm personality
Have an understanding of children with special needs
Be flexible in approach to education
