Due to a recent retirement, my client is currently seeking an experienced Logistics and Planning Manager for a global manufacturing organisation based locally in Hartlebury, Kidderminster.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with ½ hour lunch break

Job Purpose:

To control the flow of sales orders from customer order entry through to the MRP system and into production. To work flexibly and collaboratively with other colleagues.

Main duties and responsibilities:

* To plan and acknowledge orders.
* To create works orders.
* To create pick lists.
* Daily checking the despatches due.
* To create reports and reporting information.
* Monitoring and controlling of stock levels.
* To forecast demand and plan for customer satisfaction.
* Raw materials planning.
* To schedule orders.
* Tracking the progress of orders.
* To supervise the invoicing and despatch function to ensure delivery dates and customer support duties are met.
* To build and maintain a good professional relationship with Managers and all internal and external contacts.
* Any project work as required.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
* Maintain maximum efficiency at all times.
* Any other duties as required.
* Observe and adhere to health and safety rules and regulations.
