Are you an experienced, senior, successful projects, sales person within the heating and cooling sector? Would you like to work for a large, well established company - offering a huge range of benefits and competitive salary?

I am recruiting for a Project Development Manager to join a rapidly growing, corporate business based in Reading. This is a full time, permanent opportunity for an over achiever to join the team, to further their career, the starting salary is £36,500 - £55,000 (dependent on experience), + company car or allowance + 10% annual bonus. This is an office based role, however some home working can be agreed, occasional travel to other offices will be required - London, Glasgow, Edinburgh.

You will lead bid and development teams to sure long term agreements across the UK. You will focus on prospecting and acting as the main client interface, leading the initial stages of a deal. You will work closely with supporting teams to ensure bids are delivered to agreed time-scales, developing a wide network of client and stakeholder relationships as well as delivering sales target of completed contracts per annum.

Key Accountabilities:

*Directing responsibility for ensuring major or complex bids successfully transition from initial bid to con-tract signature stage

*Ensuring that technical and commercial solutions (including alternative ownership structures) best reflect the client's requirements

*Managing the client relationship throughout the process ensuring that client's requirements and drivers are reflected in the bids.

*Managing the outputs of supporting roles to provide high quality bids and approved negotiating positions.

*Managing internal bid governance processes to ensure bid and contract signature take place within client agreed programme

*Working closely with the operations and delivery teams to ensure projects can be effectively procured, delivered and operated

Your Skills and Experience

Essential:

*Proven experience in securing business in this sector

*Proven experience in managing large complex bids with multiple internal and external stakeholders

*Excellent understanding of EU and UK policy frameworks as they apply to energy, carbon and construction

*Solid commercial acumen to identify commercial opportunity (and risk) associated

*Persuasive relationship builder - respected both internally and externally

Desirable:

*Broad understanding of engineering systems and performance of assets in a heat network and energy centre

*Understanding of a range of commercial structures as they apply to distributed energy
