My client is one of the largest competitors in the UK construction, development and property market. This family-owned successful business is looking to take on an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join the Leeds based team. Candidates must be keen to develop and implement all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting on delegated projects and works packages.

My client is offering a competitive salary of £38,000-45,000 per annum. They value work-life balance very importantly, therefore offering an competitive benefits packaged, which can be disclosed with interest.

Responsibilities:



* Contribute to the project commercial strategies and takes ownership for his/ her own subcontract packages
* Demonstrate understanding of internal and external tender strategies / build up
* Maximise project cash/value by effective management of subcontract
* Work with the Commercial Manager to agree and produce main and subcontract final accounts
* Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular reference to issuing tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders.

Qualifications and Skills:



* Relevant commercial skills and experience in terms of including the ability to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management as well as effectively use and understanding financial reports and final accounts.
*

A confident communicator, be able to demonstrate the ability to form and develop relationships with the client, PQS, design team and supply chain.
