A specialised school and college situated in the Brighton area is looking for an SEN PSHE teacher who can join their thriving setting and make a difference to their learners for the September academic year.

This specialised school is a non-maintained special school and college designed to meet the educational, behavioural, care and therapeutic needs for children (age 7- 19 years).
All the learners are on the Autistic spectrum which means they may exhibit a range of difficulties and also strengths.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, coordinating, developing and delivery of PSHE within the college
Meet the needs of learners across the 3 Pathways of Learning who have a broad range of abilities and complex needs including ASC.
To monitor the impact of teaching and learning of PSHE
Be an excellent classroom practitioner and have an impact on the progress of all learners
Support, train and advise staff regarding PSHE/Health and Wellbeing
Contribute to the delivery of Skills 4 Life learning activities where appropriate

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
QTS or QTLS or PGCE are required
Both Literacy and Numeracy at or above Level 2
Experience of teaching PSHE to young adults with SEN (not less than 3 years)
Experience of providing specialist support for learning in the specialist education sector
Relevant experience of working with young people with Learning disabilities, ASC, and challenging behaviour
