We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Children's Assessment and Safeguarding Team in Lancaster, Lancashire.

Responsibilities:



* As a social worker within the safeguarding team you will be joining a dynamic and rejuvenated team, where you will be assessing and supporting families through some of the most complex times of their lives.
* You will be expected to understand risk and be able to work with a variety of agencies in order to work together to safeguard and reduce the risks around children at times of need.
* As a safeguarding social worker you will have a mixture of casework relating to children in need and child protection
* You will also have to undertake court work, supported by your practice development manager and team manager as required


To be considered for the Social Worker role you must:



* Have 1-3 years' experience of working within a similar social work setting
* Be able to manage full and complex caseloads
* Be child focused and able to implement relationship-based and systemic-based practise
* Have a good knowledge of the issues and risks faced by children in care and the procedures to manage these
* Work well individually and within a team
