Are you an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer within Children's Social Services? If so, Middlesbrough Council are looking for a Independent Reviewing Officer to join their team in Middlesbrough. The contract is initially 3 months however, may be extended.

The successful candidate can expect attractive pay rates of up to £235 per day.

We require an experienced IRO to provide independent scrutiny of Care Plans by:

- Chairing reviews
- Visiting children and young people
- Tracking progress of Care Plans between reviews
- Raising disputes regarding poor practice or planning as necessary

Who do you know that may be interested in this role? A £300 referral bonus is available


- Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly, under direction and independently where necessary
- Previous experience as a Senior Practitioner or Team Manager, working within the Safeguarding arena as well as within the Care Planning arena, with sound knowledge and skills in managing this complex and challenging area of work.
- IRO experience is preferable.
