Allocate Software are currently looking for an ambitious and driven individual to work in their R&D team supporting the Implementation team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for the testing of the Health Suite products from the NHS or private healthcare side. This person will work closely with Product Owners in order to ensure Software features fit the requirements of the Trust using it.

Role Summary:

Improving patient care is at the centre of our business. We are looking for a HealthRoster expert to join our team of software testers and help make our software even better.

The successful candidate will complement our team and will work alongside Developers, Product Owners and experienced Testers to ensure that releases of our HealthSuite continue to meet the needs of workers using the software on a daily basis throughout the NHS and in private healthcare organisations.

You will be responsible for testing the software to ensure that the software is intuitive to use and provides the functionality required to make a significant difference.

Previous software testing experience would be an advantage, but is not mandatory as full training will be provided.


* Testing of the HealthSuite from the perspective of NHS and private healthcare users, ensuring that both new and existing features are easy to use and support the way in which the HealthSuite is used within hospitals
* Using your healthcare expertise to work alongside Product Owners to validate that new software features fit with the working practices of Administrators, Ward Managers and Matrons and directly contribute towards improved payroll administration
* Write and review detailed test plans to support your testing
* Form strong relationships with your team and with other HealthRoster development teams to provide support when required
* Identify and provide risk assessments on new features being added to HealthRoster

Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:

* Previous hands-on experience of using and / or implementing HealthRoster
* Demonstrable understanding of the HealthRoster application
* Deep understanding of the benefits that HealthRoster brings to healthcare organisations
* Appreciation of the current trends and strategies within the NHS
* Willingness and drive to learn the art of software testing from experienced testers
* High level of attention to detail with a methodical, patient approach to tasks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Consistently drives for improvement
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Skills:

Previous software testing experience. Full training will be provided to the right candidate as needed.
