I have the perfect opportunity for a permanent Quantity Surveyor with a well known civils contractor, who holds an excellent reputation in the local region; for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a permanent vacancy this could be the perfect it for you.

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Quantity Surveyor to be based in Sussex, working with a reputable regional based contractor. This contractor deal with all aspects of civil engineering - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works. It would advantageous if you have recent experience working on a roads or highways scheme

Location: Sussex

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: February 2019

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

The Project:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

These are perfect opportunities working with well known civils contractors, who hold excellent reputations in the region.

You will be responsible for:

* Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
* Negotiating costs with various parties
* Drawing up contracts (NEC)
* Monthly reporting (CVR)
* Responsible for work package change control and management
* Dealing with any pricing variations
* Responsible for project re-measure
* Preparing final accounts


* Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
* Attention to detail
* Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
* Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works
