Children's Support Worker required in Newbury to help children with severe and complex learning difficulties. Flexible hours are available varying from part-time to full-time, with a salary of £7.60-£10.00 per hour. This is a chance to join a dynamic team with the opportunity to work anywhere between 10 and 60 hours, working a variety of shifts from: Long days, Earlies, Lates, Waking nights or Sleeps.

Job Purpose -

* Help support children with severe and complex learning difficulties lead a life of fulfilment and encourage their independence.
* Supporting children who may have severe communication difficulties.
* Working within a dynamic team to build and help the development of children, encouraging them to take part in daily tasks
* Building bonds with the children to ensure ongoing, personal quality of care
* To grow as a support worker working alongside a fantastic team, for a service that have recently received an outstanding ofsted report.

Experience -

* Experience with service users with autism.
* Working with children that have problems such as epilepsy, self injury, aggression and disruptive behaviour
* Previous experience with challenging behaviour
* Working within a residential/classroom setting
* This job requires a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (If you do not have a DBS on the update service one can be provided for you)
* Drivers preferred
