We require School Kitchen Assistants to work in a secondary school in the Warrington area.

We are currently recruiting for two School Kitchen Assistants to work in a Warrington secondary school on a part-time temporary basis. There are two permanent vacancies, so for the right candidates the positions could be temp-to-perm. Hours will be a total of 16 across the week, made up of various shifts between 8am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. As the successful applicant, you will have:

- Previous experience of working in a kitchen which can be fully referenced

- Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or other relevant qualification

- Excellent communication and organisation skills

- A strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a busy team of kitchen staff, and a professional attitude

The role is term-time only to start as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy school catering function as part of a committed supply team with a great reputation. Responsibilities could include:-

- Preparation of the kitchen and dining areas, keeping them hygienic and tidy, helping to minimise risk of accidents and waste

- Basic food preparation and simple cooking

- Assisting the chefs / Head Cook / catering or kitchen management as directed

- Serving children and school staff

- Working a till

- Pot washing and cleaning floors and surfaces after lunchtime has finished

- Correct and safe storage of all kitchen items

- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation at all times such as the Food Safety Act, and Health and Safety at Work Act
