A mixed gender public secondary school admitting ages 11-16 is seeking a science teacher with strong classroom management and pastoral skills. The school appointed a new head teacher this academic year and is looking for new teachers to help elevate the school to the next level. There are also some exciting re-development plans afoot to obtain excellent teaching facilities for a truly superior learning experience.

This school is easily accessible within a couple of minute's walk of the train station, which has good links to London, Brighton, Reading and Tonbridge.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing lessons in line with the curriculum
* Delivering lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with specialist subject knowledge up to KS5
* Setting challenging homework which engages students between lessons
* Marking and providing effective feedback on completed work
* Managing classroom behaviour
* Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of children
* Attending at school events such as parents' evenings


Key requirements for the position include:
* A clear and up-to-date enhanced DBS check (we can support you with your application)
* QTS (desirable but not essential, NQT applications are warmly welcomed)
* Experience of teaching Physics, Chemistry & Biology
* A degree and a relevant teaching qualification
* Evidence of the right to work in the UK
