Immediate Start Higher Learning Teaching Assistant

Working with special needs students is a rewarding career, you will consistently guide, support and comfort students who encounter challenging tasks. We are looking for a compassionate teacher who has the drive and patience needed for this role. You will need experience working with Special educational needs and Emotional, Behaviour, Difficulties. However, you do not have to be a drill sergeant. Your confidence will shine through out these classes and help the students to gain confidence in making relationships with other peers and members of staff.

Currently based on the outskirts of Peacehaven, This school is a non-maintained special educational needs school designed to meet the educational, behavioural, care and therapeutic needs for children (age 11-16, Secondary). The children have a range of special needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). For this role you will need your own means of transport as public services do not operate in this area.

For this role you will be responsible for:
- Admin
- Safeguarding.
- Promotion of welfare.
- Engaging one to one with students.
- Working alongside (SEN students)
Essential Academia:
- Teaching experience
- GCSE Maths, English and Science.
- Educational experience.
- Knowledge of British National Curriculum
- Experience working with SEN Students.
