Senior Engineer - PLM Business Systems

Job Description

* To support current PLM systems (MPPDM / SmarTeam) at a business level
* To develop strategies for implementation of new PLM solutions.
* To support all aspects of PLM delivery for the Engineering group, including training, mentoring and process definition.
* To support in the development an implementation strategy for TeamCentre PLM System.
* To develop a detailed understanding of the TeamCenter PLM System relating to engineering functions.
* To develop training plans and training material to train and mentor current engineering staff and for new starters to engineering.
* To ensure that all engineering programmes within TeamCenter and delivered according to defined standards and processes.
* To support in the maintenance of current SmarTeam and MPPDM processes in support of current programs

Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria):


* Engineering or IT development
* Knowledge of automotive design & release processes in relation to product lifecycle management and CAD design processes
* Good communicator with experience of training and mentoring.
* Knowledge of PLM implementation onto 3D CAD with a focus on business processes
* Technically focused, self motivating, process orientated.
* Confident communicator and able to manage a cross functional team in developing PLM implementation
* Some knowledge of CATIA CAD operation. Knowledge of design development processes


* Degree in PLM systems or Business systems
* Experience in delivering TeamCentre with CATIA integration within the automotive or aerospace industry
* Implementation of TeamCentre on CATIA and the integration of these systems on business systems and processes

Other information:

Possible travel to other global PLM sites for training and information gathering.

Travel to conferences and information events
