Do you have experience of building out new small to medium size residential developments? A new Site Manager position has just arrived in East Sussex which might be just what you are looking for!

* Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
* Contract type: Freelance
* Start date: Mid-June 2018
* Duration: 7 months+
* Salary/Rate: up to £19-25 per hour (dependant upon experience)
* Closing date: 7th June 2018

The company:

A bespoke developer situated in the South East and a reputation for building out small unique developments ranging from 2-30 plots with individual unit prices ranging from £600,000 - £1.6 million.

The project:

Planning is approved and the developer will take possession from the Principal Contractor mid-late June 2018. The development has a programme of 16 months and will contain 26 4-5 bedroom units all for private sale in the Eastbourne area.

The role:

As the Site Manager for the development you will be responsible for controlling full site operations which will include quality subcontractors and a Finishing Manager towards the later stages of the project to ensure all units achieve the high specification they are renowned for. Your role will include but not be limited to:

* Report directly to the Head of Construction who will visit site 1-2 times per week.
* Monitor the lead programme and produce detailed monthly programmes of works.
* Liaise with Local Authorities, Utilities providers and Highways England.
* Manage resources of the project to maximise output and deliver to programme.
* Control subcontract packages.
* Health & safety management and promotion in line with the company policies and procedures.
* Regularly review with the team progress against programme.
* Chair subcontractor site progress meetings.
* Create and maintain accurate site reports.
* Quality inspections.

About you:

* You will have gained circa 8+ years experience, ideally working for a developer or a main contractor with a strong history in house building.
* Have the correct CITB and First Aid qualifications for the position.
* Be able to control subcontract packages.
* Good level of IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages.
* Working knowledge of MS Project.
* Recent and relevant experience.
* Strong organisational skills with proven time management skills.
