Support Worker role! - Driver's Required

This company is a specialist care provider that holds more than 25 years experience in the industry. they are experts in supporting individuals with complex needs across the UK, with learning and physical disabilities, brain injuries, autism and other needs.

The role of a support worker is to provide support to individuals and their families who need help, both emotionally and practically, so they can live a happy, independent life. A support worker role involves working with vulnerable people in different ways.

You will be working in a re-enablment service, providing high quality care by helping people who have mental health problems, learning difficulties and physical disabilities to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. There is no previous experience requirement, as you will be provided with Full, Paid for Training. To maintain their dignity and independence your duties will involve:

* Domestic duties: such as, assisting to cook and clean
* Doing activities: within the residence, or arranging community day out activities or planning holidays
* Implementing personal care: Helping them get dressed, bathe, personal hygiene, feeding, advising, and providing emotional and psychological support
* Life and social skills: by sharing or helping to develop personal interest and independent necessities
* Maintaining their health and safety within the residence
* Must be a driver

Your hours will differ dependant on the shift pattern. This could be from 07:30am - 15:00 pm, 15:00 pm - 11:00pm o

Alternatively, you could be able to do 3 Long Day shifts with patterns of 7am-7pm, 8am-8pm, 9am-9pm, 10am - 10pm)

You (with your team) will be looking after service users, who may posses challenging behaviour, are on the autistic disorder spectrum, suffer with autism or be speech impaired. The residence is a privately owned residential home. You will help by providing personal care, taking them out into the community and all other aspects of care that may be required of them. The perfect candidate will be comfortable, with going far and beyond to show a caring and nurturing attitude toward the service users.
