Are you able to provide a safe and secure environment in the classroom? Are you self-motivated and adaptable to different learning abilities? Have you got experience working young people with SEN and/or physical disabilities?

A college near Aldershot are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide support for students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will be working within the SEND area and will get fully involved in agricultural activities such as animal management, garden design and floristry.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained
-Understanding the changing needs of each learner and adapting to the changes
-Participating in all timetabled activities
-Working with the whole class, a small group or individual learners
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Supporting tutor and assisting in preparation of learning environment

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Own means of transport
-GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
-A co-operative working style and ability to work as part of a team
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-A caring approach to learning
-Knowledge of the range of different types of learning difficulties and disabilities
