Do you have experience supporting children in a social care or residential educational setting? Do you enjoy supporting and working with children and young people? Are you looking for a new permanent role as a Team Leader in the Walsall area? An hour rate of £10.15 - £11.00 per hour is being offered plus £30.00 for sleep in.

Randstad Care is proud to be supporting a leading independent provider of residential care and education for children and young people where we are looking to recruit a permanent Team Leader for a Children's Residential home in the Walsall area. The home offers care and support to children and young people who suffer from emotional behaviour disorders including sexual, physical, emotional or mental abuse.

The permanent full time roles will start as soon as possible, depending on your current circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Shift planning and leading a team of residential support workers
  • Completing paperwork including key worker sessions and daily logs
  • Meeting the needs of the children and young people in your care
  • Maintaining the high standards of the home
  • Managing the complex behaviour and working with the children and young people who are in crisis

Skills

  • At least 1 years experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • Ideally NVQ3 in Children and young people
  • A good team player
  • Able to work shifts and sleep in
  • A passion for working with children and young people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilience and honesty
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Good time keeping
  • A willingness to learn, adapt and develop new skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
