Town Planner / Senior Town Planner

*££ negotiable depending on level*

Are you an experienced Town Planning Officer looking for a new role? Our client are a large consultancy based in the North West who due to continued growth and recent business success, are looking to expand the planning team.

Focusing specifically focusing upon investor & developer clients across various sectors including Residential, Retail and Mixed Use, Leisure, Sport and Recreation, Industrial and Commercial, Health and Education you will provide expert advice throughout the life-span of a project, combining strategic thinking with careful negotiation and a focus on delivery.

Offering a comprehensive service advising on economic viability, planning, regeneration and development for private and public sector clients involving a wide range of uses and development sectors, duties will include:

* Applications and S106 negotiations
* Appeals and Inquiries
* Strategic communications advice
* Strategic planning advice
* Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas and Heritage advice
* Compulsory Purchase and Compensation
* Development advice
* Environmental Planning
* Planning and development appraisals
* Infrastructure Planning and DCO services
* Urban Regeneration

Experience Required

Client Market Profile: Has developed a client following in the Investor and Developer Sector with clients who are content to do business direct with them

Business Creation / Business Awareness: A good fee-earner in their own right with keen commercial skills including creativity, alert to cross-selling opportunities and a capable negotiator. Must show good communication skills.

Leadership Qualities: Is effective in directing the work and mentoring of more junior staff and leads by example.

Personal Qualities: A positive "can-do" mentality, a hard-working, productive and generally effective and trusted individual. Must demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Qualifications: Chartered membership of the RTPI is preferred although consideration will be given to candidates going through the process of obtaining chartership
