job description

'A good education can change anyone; a good teacher can change everything.'
Are you this teacher?

Are you looking for a school that can offer you progression and support?

Do you want to work in an award-winning KS1 team that is committed to creative and interactive learning?

If you answered yes, then this is the school for you!

A lovely community school in Haywards Heath is looking for an engaging and inspiring Year 2/3 teacher to join their well-established team on a part-time (4 day-a-week) basis from Easter 2019. The position is ongoing until the end of the academic year, with permanent opportunities available subsequently: this role is a job share with a member of staff recently promoted to SLT.

The school is 2-form entry and currently caters for 300+ pupils. The students are welcomed from all walks of life and as a result, there is a high proportion of SEN and EAL. This is a spacious and modern site that embraces outdoor learning, top of the line technology and an all-encompassing curriculum: as a teacher here, you'd have access to career progression, with freedom to explore your teaching style and support in positively impacting the lives of your students.

● A contract for the remainder of the school year
● Planning/Year group buddy
● Job share with SLT
● Partial planning for the remainder of the term
● On-site parking available
● Protected PPA time
● Access to a free CPD course and Safeguarding Training/courses

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:
● A Teaching Qualification (Overseas trained teachers will be considered with valid NARIC OR NCTL qualification recognition)
● Relevant teaching experience (must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
● Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum
● Eligibility to work in the UK

● Providing engaging and interactive lessons
● Communicating with parents and carers about pupils' progress
● Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
● Planning and preparing all subjects within the current national curriculum

This position is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so apply now to be in with a chance!

This role is open to receiving applications over the next two weeks. Within a week of the closing date, appropriate applicants will begin a three-stage interview process, after which shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the final stage of the interview process with appropriate school leadership.
