Description:

This role will be responsible for custom application support for the Client's Risk Management BU. You will be a member of an existing team that provides a high level of service to a fast paced trading

environment. Support includes, querying application data in search for incorrect data, restarting web applications, desktop application install, and first level troubleshooting of custom applications.

Business acumen along with technical skills will be needed to be successful in this role. As a member of this team you will be part of an on-call rotation and need to have flexible working hours.

We're looking for someone with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests with urgency and to interact and communicate effectively with other groups.

Requirements:

- Proficient in writing SQL queries, preferably working with Oracle databases

- Proficient in understanding databases and data models.

- Experience working with Windows Server, in particular installing and uninstalling software, restarting services, reading logs, performing folder maintenance, etc.

- Experience creating batch scripts for windows

- Ability to read batch scripts to understand their function

- Strong drive to explore and find root cause of problems.

- Self-driven, motivated, capable of managing his/her own work load

- Team player, assists other team members, accountable for his tasks but able to ask for help when needed

- Good communication skills, ability to interact with users at all levels of the organization

- Ability to work flexible hours, expected to work either 1-2 hours before business hours or 1-2 hours after business hours.

- Be part of the on-call rotation carrying the support phone.

- Nice to have: Experience with cloud concepts and AWS console

- Nice to have: Knowledge of ITIL concepts
