Lab Technician – Intermediate

With this role you will perform laboratory technical tasks such as being responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Offering assistance in the operation of the equipment and the gathering of data. Assisting with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking. Lab Technicians work collaboratively with other production team members to deliver daily and weekly targets under tight deadlines, identify opportunities for system or process improvements, and operate automation. The successful candidate will operate independently and have experience in molecular biology, and high through-put laboratory environments. 

Responsibilities include: 
• Delivering daily/weekly production throughput targets 
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to production validated methods 
• Operating and troubleshooting production automation 
• Adhering to established protocols and good laboratory practice techniques 
• Achieving commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and best practices

Required Education and Skills: 
• Minimum of BS/BA in a biological, agricultural, engineering or related field 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel 
• Must have flexible working hours to accommodate the needs of the business 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to build strong relationships and networks across shifts, sub-teams, and sites 
• Must be able to lift 40lbs
