Are you looking for a new challenge? A packaging company in Waukegan is looking a 1st shift maintenance mechanic to join the team. This is a direct hire opportunity with full benefits package with pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:
As a maintenance mechanic you will inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining bag making machinery and flexographic printers, mechanical / utility equipment in a production environment. Time up and safety are the key focus. Older machines might need light fabrication of parts and blueprints drawn up to a maintain and keep running. Facility is temperature controlled, clean and well lit.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Skills:
- Troubleshoot, and repair of bag making machinery and flexographic printer equipment
- Dismantling and re-assembly of equipment to perform repairs
- Testing, troubleshooting and repair of 110 / 240 / 480 volt electrical equipment including motors, starters, relays, timers, and waxers
- Light welding
- Fabricates parts and modifies equipment as required

Qualifications:
- 5 years of mechanical, gears, and pneumatic experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Safety focused
- Self-motivated
