Permanent position: Growing manufacturer is seeking a direct-hire Manufacturing Engineer. This position is located in Clearwater, Florida. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving, monitoring, and developing production processes in the plant. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with assembly, fixture design, and tooling as well as Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFX) processes. The salary is commensurate with experience ranging from $70K to $90K, plus an opportunity for bonus. Local candidates only at this time. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer

  • Utilize lean techniques to increase process flow, control and documentation of all processes, effective reporting metrics (KPI's), and elimination of waste
  • Ensure smooth introductions of new product designs and manages changes to designs into manufacturing
  • Help improve fixtures and jigs in production to aide in the production of products and to assure all production goals are met

Requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in Assembly, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvements, and Production Process Flow
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly (DFx) concepts and principles
