As a Mechatronic System Engineer, you will act as the technical expert in mechatronics and (hydraulic) controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translate high-level requirements of automation/control features into detailed specifications
  • Works in close collaboration with Model-Based control engineer to prove feasibility of the feature in a rapid prototype environment
  • Works in close collaboration with the software engineer to integrate the feature in a final production environment
  • Testing & tuning the final implementation
  • Leads design reviews with proper documentation for internal customers
  • Continuously benchmarking the company developments against competition and is actively contributing in generating new/innovative ideas to create strategic advantages against

    competition

 
qualifications:

The qualified candidate will have:

Bachelors of Science in Engineering required (Preferred coursework within (hydraulic) control design and/or mechatronic system design)

6+ years of hands on Control Development experience

Ability to travel for short periods (2 weeks) to support in-field development, validation & tuning

The preferred candidate will be:

Master's Degree preferred

Able to work under minimal supervision, but has the ability to recognize issues that need to be escalated

Is Analytical and has significant problem solving capabilities and experience

Knowledge of Automotive tools such as CANalyzer® and/or CANape® (Vector)

Knowledge of Process Tools such as SVN, Polarion

Able to work cross-functionally with other teams (software teams)

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Strong planning, initiative, risk-taking, organizational, and leadership skills
