Permanent position: An established company in Cumming, GA is seeking an experienced Safety Administrator. In this position, the Safety Administrator will ensure all employees are meeting the required safety standards and will implement, manage and monitor safety programs, policies and procedures that meet OSHA standards. To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience in Health and Safety.

Responsibilities for the Safety Specialist

  • Maintain current safety policies and update as needed to reflect current regulations
  • Investigate work related accidents and/or incidents of injury or property damage as well as near-misses to determine root cause and the need for corrective action
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with company safety policies
  • Track all incidents, injuries and property damage using safety management software to ensure all corrective actions are completed
  • OSHA compliance and reporting, such as completing monthly reports, analyzing data and interpreting injury trends to guide training and equipment needs

Requirements for the Safety Specialist

  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or closely related field
  • Must have 5 Years of Health and Safety experience in an industrial environment
  • Completion of OSHA 10 or 30 hour training
  • Preferred requirements: Authorized Trainer under the OSHA Outreach Program and CSP (certified safety professional)
