Permanent position: Private National MEP firm has grown significantly for the past two years and is on track to grow 20% in 2019. The firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for their Tulsa, Oklahoma office. Will be a lucrative role for qualified candidates that have at least 8 years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, educational and institutional facilities. Leadership roles offered to those with previous management experience. Relocation assistance provided if needed. No sponsorship opportunities now or in future.

Responsibilities for the Structural Engineer

  • Responsible for design and engineering of low, mid-rise and long span structures
  • Develop load paths and design concepts from schematic design development and produce or direct the use of both hand and computer modeling of complex structures
  • Responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects and presentation to clients
  • Attend Client/Owner meetings and project development and project management
  • Supervision of design and drafting staff management of project budget
  • Assist in the preparation of specifications that coordinate with architects and the plans and review the construction documents for completeness prior to sealing the documents or submitting to the Engineer of Record

Requirements for the Structural Engineer

  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, educational and institutional facilities
  • Must have experience with AUTOCAD and Revit/BIM and an understanding of IBC, ACI, AISC, and other applicable codes
  • Professional Engineering license required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact and site visits and comfort with business development activities
