We are an active participant in international benchmarks and platforms such as the FTSE4 Good, Euronext Vigeo, Ethibel Sustainability Index and Carbon Disclosure Project.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index

In 2016, we were again included in the 2016 DJSI review. Launched in 1999, the DJSI World is the first global index to track the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide, based on RobecoSAM's analysis of financially material Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. Randstad is the only HR services provider to be admitted to membership of the Professional Services industry section of the DJSI World and DJSI Europe indices.

Carbon Disclosure Project

CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) is a not-for-profit organization that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. In 2016 we scored a B (management level), which is above industry average. Companies at Management level are taking further steps to effectively reduce emissions, indicating more advanced environmental stewardship. This good result signals that Randstad Holding nv is measuring and managing its impact.


CSR Europe

CSR Europe is a leading European business network for corporate social responsibility, with more than 60 leading multinational corporations as members. Randstad is involved in CSR Europe projects in the areas of skills for employability, mainstreaming diversity, and well-being in the workplace.

UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary business initiative for companies committed to aligning their activities with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anticorruption. As signatories of the Compact since 2004, Randstad firmly believes that responsible business promotes the development of markets, commerce, technology, and finance for the benefit of economies and societies everywhere.


Oekom research AG is one of the world's leading rating agencies in the area of sustainable investment. In the Oekom Corporate Rating from August 2017 Randstad Holding was awarded the Prime Status. Prime companies rank among the leaders in their industry.

Euronext VigeoEiris Index

Randstad is included in the Euronext Vigeo index both in Eurozone 120 (the 120 most advanced companies in the Eurozone region) as in Benelux 20 (the 20 most advanced companies in the Benelux region). Both distinguish companies achieving the most advanced Environmental, Social and Governance performances.

Ethibel Sustainability Indices

The Ethibel Sustainability Indices universe is composed of companies included in the Russell Global Index that display the best performance in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility. Randstad has been reconfirmed as a constituent of the Ethibel Sustainability Index Excellence Europe. And we are also included in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register which indicates that Randstad performs better than average in its sector in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).



FTSE4Good is a global responsible investment index that identifies companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices, measured against globally recognised standards. Randstad Holding continues to meet the Index inclusion criteria and is a valued member of the FTSE4Good Index Series.


World Employment Confederation

Through our membership in the World Employment Confederation (formerly Ciett  and Eurociett), we strive for well-regulated working conditions for our corporate employees and candidates.

Workplace Pride

Workplace Pride is a non-profit umbrella foundation based in Amsterdam that strives for greater acceptance of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people in the workplace and in society. Workplace Pride’s Members include major multinationals, large domestic companies, public sector and non governmental organizations, as well as academia.

VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas)

Our partnership with VSO combines the strength of two organizations driven by a common aim: to help alleviate poverty across the globe by sharing skills and expertise with local communities. VSO focuses on sustainable development and places volunteers through partners in developing countries. Randstad supports VSO by providing expertise, funding, and the recruitment of volunteers, incl. our own employees who can volunteer themselves.

SIA's Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing list

Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has named eight Randstad executives from around the globe to their Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing list. The publication recognizes influential female leaders in the industry and provides a platform to celebrate many of the talented women shaping the world of work. Comprised of women from all different staffing sectors, the list is not a ranking but a shout-out to those whose unique vision and contributions take the industry forward. The final selection is based on the influence and achievements of the women nominated.
