I am excited to share Randstad’s 2021 ‘Flexibility@Work: Embracing Change’ report, a comprehensive examination of the big trends shaping the labor market, which was just released. We take a close look at how forces such as workplace flexibility and automation have evolved in recent times and will redefine our definition of work in the future. I believe key learnings from these developments can help you better plan for your organization and yourself.

What were some of the takeaways? First and foremost, we need to help create more decent and sustainable jobs. Providing people with good employment and wages is the bedrock of society’s objectives. Reskilling and connecting employers to talent are essential for achieving this goal. 

We must also focus on a more inclusive workplace to encourage participation for all people. We know this is good for both businesses and society, so there is plenty of incentive to do so. Additionally, we need to view technology as an enabler and not a threat. There is plenty of evidence to show innovation leads to a net gain in jobs.
