responsibilities

Your duties as credit officer will be:

  • Support Senior Credit Controller by progressing payments by phone / email
  • Support accounting processes / filing
  • Control the Greek accounts receivable debtors by progressing payments by telephone, fax and email to ensure that payments are received on a timely basis in accordance with the WE Credit Control Policy
  • Execute and follow the WE Credit Control Policy in order to ensure payments are received by the due date, helping to achieve a reduction of DSO in accordance with Jotun’s Business Strategy and Jotun Hellas strategic targets
  • Ensure that cash is correctly allocated from the bank account to the customer’s account with the intention of reducing Days Sales Outstanding and improving the financial situation of JPEL
  • Follow up any invoice queries and delegate investigation to ensure disputes are resolved as soon as possible, enabling payments to be made by the due date
  • Maintain customer contact by regular telephone calls in order to progress future payments and establish good personal contact.
  • Contact customers on a daily basis by telephone calls, and faxes in order to progress future payments and keep the customer account within the agreed credit terms
  • Forward any complaints that arise from progressing payments to Customer and check/ verify any resulting credit request documentation.
  • Provide allocation details for customer payments
  • Maintain relevant Company HSE and Company working procedures
  • Provide allocation details for customer payments

requirements

To be an ideal candidate for the credit officer position, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Relevant working experience 2-3 years
  • Fluent English
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Problem solving skills
  • Business oriented
  • Able to work in a team
  • Able to work through projects
