Key duties and responsibilities

?   Reports to the CMPO of the shopping Mall in relation to the performance of the renovation project against the master plan and budget.

?   Lead on all construction and management requirements of the EVC, CEO and CMPO, providing strategic and professional guidance to the project team on contracts, construction and technical issues.

?   Develop master plans and manage the top line and day to day work plans and budget for the design, construction and MEP execution,

?   Lead the progress meeting with our team and contractors and develop progress status reports and presentations where required.

?   Monitor contractors work for compliance with our master plan, budget, quality, safety and conformance with our contracts.

?   Review all contracts and assist with procurement, bidding and award of contracts.

?   Assist in the negotiation with contractors on any changes or variations to designs, work scope or schedules.

?   Overall responsibility to ensure the project team fulfills its responsibility to deliver each stage of the project on time, on standard and within budget and that all commissioning and certification has been achieved for each stage.

?   Contribute to the overall design and planning of the project working cross functionally with our internal team and external business partners and tenants.

?   Liaison with government agencies, contractors, sub contractors, designers and other advisors ensuring the delivery of high quality workmanship within agreed timelines.

?   Ensure a safe site for our customers, staff and construction partners and that safety is monitored and enforced in line with government and company guidelines and procedures

?   Provide management and the team with advice and expertise on critical issues and solutions throughout the project.

?   Set target, objectives and responsibilities for all supervised staff and monitor their performance against the agreed balance scorecard through a formal appraisal process in line with company guidelines

?   Deal with the government agencies to ensure all required permits and approvals are in place to commence the works safely and in accordance with law to protect the company, customers and our staff from any physical, financial or reputational risks.

?   Ensure all construction and technical team follows agreed compliance procedures in completing their work.

?   Oversee the commissioning and handover of all project phases, to our internal team and external business partners.

?   Manage the communication between all management and key stakeholders to ensure everyone is keep informed of problems, solutions, progress and budget for each project stage and the overall master plan.

?   The job holder may be asked to complete additional responsibilities and duties as required by the EVC, CEO and CMPO.

Knowledge and skills required

?   Ability to effectively solve problem and conflicts

?   Ability to plan, co-ordinate and provide leadership in the execution of a complex construction project.

?   Technically capable in construction and engineering theory, principles and practices

?   Knowledge of design & build project delivery methods

?   Ability to delegate and manage a team

?   Ability to effectively access and manage contractor’s performance

?   Possess strong written and oral communication skills

?   Be able to conduct meeting and provide leadership and guidance to our team and contractors

?   Develop and manage budgets

?   Be able to analyse and interpret technical information and materials effectively IE drawings, MEP calculations

?   Effective decision maker

?   Be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills

?   Demonstrate analytical skills


?   Bachelors degree in Engineering, construction/and or construction management

?   Minimum 10 years leadership experience in managing large scale construction projects, shopping mall preferred
