General Characteristics This position will work directly with business commercial leaders and their teams to help improve the selling effectiveness of the organization. The Selling Excellence Education Leader will be responsible for developing, driving and leveraging sales effectiveness programs and best practices across the organization. This position will be responsible for effectively incorporating strategic initiatives and training programs into businesses in line with their goals and gaps. The successful candidate build key relationships with critical Commercial/Sales Leaders and collaborate with various businesses and corporate leaders as well as external resources to create update and deliver sales effectiveness programs that will increase overall productivity of the Dow selling process within the company, becoming a valued internal consultant to a broad range of commercial leaders. This role will lead training and education for all the young talent development programs like Commercial Development Program. Job Expectations and Responsibilities ? Work closely with Asia Pacific Director, Commercial Discipline to deliver Asia Pacific and global sales discipline plan ? Develop and implement with Asia Pacific team the Sales Discipline Strategic plan ? Work closely with area business commercial leaders and the global Selling Education leader to assess and define priority areas of work ? Engage commercial leaders to understand current state, and to identify best practices as well as gaps ? Review, improve and leverage the following efforts: Dow Selling process, account planning, young talent development programs, CRM tools, corporate account program, commercial competency models and selling effectiveness metrics ? Share best practices across the organization ? Develop a plan of action and deliver education, training and learning efforts within and across businesses to take the sales effectiveness efforts to the next level Requirements ? 10+ years of Selling or consulting experience, preferably in areas of complex, technical, consultative B2B sales. ? Ability to develop key relationships and work closely with area commercial leaders, area and global commercial support teams. ? Knowledge of best practice related to selling process and key account management practices Desired Skills / Competencies ? Strong interpersonal and persuasion and influence skills ? Ability to interact with the key employees within the sales workforce as well as senior business leaders within the organization ? Ability to balance multiple competing priorities in a fast pace environment. ? Self-starter with a strong bias for action. ? Ability to work independently, anticipate, and be an effective change manager ? Selling education and training pipeline experience an advantage ? Travel in Asia Pacific required
