Accounts Officer

Your New Company

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Officer to join a rapidly growing organisation committed to providing outstanding service to their clients and customers within the residential construction industry. With an Inner CBD location close to public transport, you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

This position is vacant due to the growth of the business, on a full-time permanent basis. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive environment dedicated to the overall growth and success of the team and organisation. With the rapidly growing presence within the construction space, you can see yourself taking on different projects and communicating with different levels within the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their accounting career within a vibrant and forward thinking team.

Your New Duties:

  • End to end accounts payable and receivable function
  • Processing high volumes of invoices (100-150 invoices per day)
  • Providing financial and administrative support to the organisation
  • Daily receipting and allocations of payments received
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Answering and resolving supplier queries
  • Preparing analysis of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Assisting with the month end and year end process

About you:

  • Holds a recognised accounting degree
  • Studying towards a professional Accounting qualification (CA/CPA)
  • Residential or commercial construction accounts experience preferred
  • Proven experience as a successful assistant accountant
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using Framework is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated and strong desire to learn
