A global workforce optimisation company is searching for an Application Support Consultant to join their team based in North Shore Sydney in a permanent position.

On a daily basis you will be involved in:

  • Delivering application support consultancy to client as part of rollout programme and the duration of the current contract
  • Providing timely & consistent solutions or functional workarounds based on service level agreements and implementation project agreements
  • Providing timely & consistent data via the ServiceNow defect tracking system to describe the issues and the steps required to reproduce the fault
  • Providing application support in line with escalation timeframes delivered through a documented technical plan of action
  • The ability to investigate and identify issues with how the application supports a business process. In addition be able to prepare customer facing documentation to support a change in usage of the application to meet the customers’ needs
  • Providing quality application knowledge-based articles
  • Developing strong customer relationships through direct communication with the custom team or third parties to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction. Where possible to deliver proactive & preventative customer support activities
  • Virtually any other task that is required to achieve customer and business demands placed on the Account team

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Experience in working with ServiceNow and or support case ticketing systems and familiar with Service Level Agreement conditions
  • At ease with providing outstanding application based solutions in a remote technical environment.
  • The incumbent will need to be a charismatic team player working in a matrix structure who enjoys challenges to resolve customer issues in the simplest and most effective manner
  • The incumbent must be competent at communicating plans of action to customers or third parties and should be available to work all hours to ensure that mission critical functionality can deliver outputs in the shortest possible timeframe
  • The incumbent must be able to demonstrate clear thinking under pressure and communication skills
  • The incumbent must be able to create and maintain a positive, high-energy environment that fosters mutual trust, respect and a commitment to the team itself
