Our client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking high level administrators with experience in State or Federal Government. As part of a small team, there will be a considerable level of internal and external stakeholder engagement. This team is very fast paces and requires flexible team members to help them succeed.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas;

  • Report writing - reporting on decisions made and ensuring that all the relevant facts that contributed to the making of the decision on the applications are clearly identified.
  • Analytical skills - Assisting the delegate to make decisions consistent with legislative requirements. Making decisions after assessing against every relevant criterion to allow the delegate to best compare applications
  • Time Management - Applications are required to be completed in very tight timeframes and to a high standard. These will both be tracked and quality assured by the management team.
  • Excellent IT/Database skills

Duties of the role will include but not be limited to;

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of program issues.
  • Comply with all probity requirements including maintaining security of all documentation.
  • Develop, maintain and participate in effective relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Extract and manipulate data and information from a range of management and reporting systems.
  • Participate in assessment processes through funding rounds as required.
  • Undertake a range of activities related to service management, including undertaking assessment of risk, and monitoring performance, expenditure and financial compliance.
  • Interpret, work within and make recommendations based on guidelines and relevant legislation.
  • Draft and prepare input into the development of parliamentary correspondence and internal briefs.
  • Some travel may be required.
