To be successful in this role you will require a high level of integrity, and strong communication, analytical and
organisational skills to contribute to the successful delivery of project objectives. You will exercise sound
judgement and a high degree of discretion in dealing with commercial in-confidence and sensitive business
matters. You will work collaboratively with others and build productive relationships to achieve results in a busy,
fast paced environment.

Duties

  • Assessment of evidence provided in applications following threshold assessment processes and legislated requirements;
  • Completing assessment of allocated applications on time in accordance with legislation, policy and proceedures;
  • Writing an assessment summary statement for each application
  • Providing a sound and defensible justification for recommendation or otherwise;
  • Coordination of relevant intelligence including providing data input;
  • Application of local knowledge of approved providers including numbers of existing aged care places and past conduct rating;
  • Liaison with internal staff on matters relating to the work area
  • Undertaking filing and records management functions
  • Adhering to the APS Values and Code of Conduct and Departmental policies and procedures;
  • Other allocation tasks as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in report writing/written communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and KPI's
  • Agile and coachable - open to constructive feedback
  • Ability to work within a team in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines, improve processes and achieve organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government policies and procedures
