Area Manager - Ipswich and Toowoomba

You will have responsibility for 10 of their centres, spanning from the Ipswich to Toowoomba. This position comes with amazing support from Head Office, weekly meetings with fellow QLD Area Managers and paid professional development opportunities.

YOUR ROLE

Do you enjoy providing strong commercial leadership and operational direction to multiple childcare centres? Do you thrive on building strong personal relationships, results and the implementation of correct policies and procedures?

This Area Manager will be responsible for the ongoing support and directives of Centre Managers in 10 centres spanning the Ipswich and Toowoomba regions. Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will ultimately be responsible of maximising efficiency and driving overall team performance!

Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively lead and motivate your managers to deliver commercial and quality outcomes within your area
  • Develop your managers through coaching, mentoring and effective use of internal people management systems to achieve optimum competency and performance in their role;
  • Ensure your managers build strong relationships with families through effective CRM utilisation and other communication and engagement strategies;
  • Oversee the effective identification of hazards and risks. Ensure effective risk assessments and controls are in place. Ensure effective WHS consultation processes are in place as per the companies policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the internal leadership program offered to staff members of the organisation
  • Regularly analyse statistics and monthly profit and loss statements to ensure strategies are implemented to achieve EBITDA targets for centres within your area

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Early Childhood Diploma of Children's Services or ACECQA approved equivalent, Diploma and above
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • A current Working with Children Check or equivalent, current driver’s licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
  • A love of early childhood education
  • A minimum of 2 years successful track record as an Area Manager for a multi-centre organisation - ideally in childcare
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
