Join a global US-listed company specialising the manufacturing of specialised medical devices. My client is looking for a “hands-on” Assistant Finance Manager to join their team.

The main focus of this role will be to ensure the accurate and timely completion of month and year end accounts, as well as maintaining the integrity of balance sheet accountant and critical P&L reconciliations. The successful candidate must be hunger for career growth and be hands on as this role is part of the succession plan into the Financial Controller role.

Candidates with a proven background in process improvement who enjoys a fast pace environment in invited to apply.

Duties include:

  • Data gathering and analysis for reporting and disclosures
  • Support the rollout of any changes or update in the revenue standards
  • Continuous review of existing processes to identify improvements and driving efficiencies.
  • Perform month end closing tasks timely and accurately.
  • Review monthly financials and provide commentary on monthly variances.
  • Prepare General Ledger Reconciliations
  • Ensuring fund balances in bank accounts are maintained to meet working capital requirements
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts
  • Working with Financial Shared Service Centre and Supply Chain to manage any Inventory, Inventory Fixed Asset and Fixed Asset related matters
  • Monitor and review rebate calculations and settlements
  • Actively partner with and support operations and business
  • Participating in the statutory audits, coordinating all requirements and providing clarifications on issues raised and finalizing the statutory audits in timely manner for Medtronic and its related companies
  • Ensuring Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act/Keylight tool administration
  • Supervise Accountant and Assistant Accountant in all accounting matters


  • CPA/CA qualified
  • SAP experience
  • Only candidates who comes from large corporates with a minimum turnover of $200million will be considered for this role
  • SOX experience beneficial
