The Retail Support Officer reports to the Team Leader Retail Support Group, and is responsible for providing timely and accurate responses to issues, and escalated complaints raised by retailers in relations to meter reading and billing functions.

The position’s responsibilities include:

  • Efficient handling and resolution of retailer and network user billing, service and operational inquiries, requests, and complaints in accordance with regulatory (Retail Market Procedures and National Energy Consumer Framework) and commercial requirements (Reference Services Agreement).
  • Provide timely and factual responses to retailer B2B transaction requests each day.
  • Efficient monitoring, work execution and resolution of FRC, B2B and market transaction anomalies, exceptions and issues.
  • Coordinate problem resolution with other areas of the business.
  • Use of root cause analysis to determine source of problems and pathway to solution via process or system improvements
  • Prioritise handling of escalated issues including Ombudsman and ACAT cases.

** Demonstrated experience with customer service and/or billing processes and systems. Related ** experience in the energy or utilities industry is an advantage.
