One of the largest private education groups globally based in the Sydney CBD requires a Business Analyst (ERP) to join their organisation in a initial 6 month contract.

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for delivering configuration and functionalities of the system according to business requirements and processes working in partnership with the vendor and with business SMEs.

You will acquire knowledge of the system functionalities and capabilities to guide and lead business SMEs and project team on the recommendation of solutions following a rigorous software development cycle methodology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Configure modules in partnership with vendor SME’s within the Student Information System
  • Providing quality end-user and project team consultation and support
  • Proven ability to lead and guide functional configuration in an ERP implementation with working knowledge of technical capabilities
  • Proven ability to populate and test system rules and validation tables within an ERP configuration
  • Facilitating business process review wand application prototyping sessions as well as providing business process analysis and insight into best practice methodologies with Business Analysts & SME’s
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Student Information System functional modules from Admission to Graduation including Accounts Receivable
  • Building relationships with functional work groups and business SME’s to ensure there is a smooth transfer of knowledge to operational staff
  • Assist in preparing functional requirements for conversion, reporting and integration
  • Providing guidance in the formulation and coordination of an end-user training strategy
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude
  • Responsible for understanding level’s of customisation required based on business needs and the ability to develop business validation rules, forms and minor UI changes within Student Information Systems based on business requirements where required


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an ERP Functional/Technical role, preferably and as a guide with 70 % functional, 30 % technical split
  • Salesforce desired
  • Experience in leading and guiding business SME’s, Business Analysts on ERP functionalities and capabilities within a large Program of works following rigorous software development cycle
  • Experience in working in close partnership with ERP vendors
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to influence and drive other team members, business stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to think critical critically and apply fact-based decision-making to resolve challenges
  • Facilitation skills to ensure teams work together to deliver program goals
  • Negotiating skills to facilitate consensus and agreement with conflicting requirements and priorities
  • Education background and experience is desirable
