A family owned Australian company requires a self-motivated, customer-focused Business Development Rep to grow sales in the Food Service Sector. Our client is growing rapidly forecasting a huge amount of growth in the next 24 months.

The company brands are well established and well recognized as premium brands of choice in the FMCG industry. The successful applicant will have the ability and correct attitude to use this established brand recognition to build industry relationships and grow sales.

This role is for a true hunter, who is excited by the thrill of a new client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage food service customers with responsibility for sales
  • Chase new business and upsell on existing accounts
  • The role will be split 95% out on the road and 5% in the office
  • Display and develop an intimate understanding of the Food Service/Restaurant Industry in order to provide feedback on customers' and competitor's products
  • Track all information gathered from potential foodservice customers and communicate any new business ideas with you buddy (the accounts manager)
  • Source new customers via cold calling


  • Experience in a sales environment with a proven track record
  • Flexibility to meet the demands the sector requires
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • High level of personal skills, including the ability to relate and interact well with all types of customers
  • Ability to work autonomously and self motivate!
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to set own schedule and provide reports on daily activity
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft, particularly Excel
