Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will improve the company’s market position and help them achieve financial growth. You will assist to define the long-term organisational strategic goals, build key relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate and close deals and maintain knowledge of current market conditions and trends in the health and fitness industry.

Position Description:

  • Have an in depth knowledge of the company, its products and value proposition and be able to comfortably and effectively communicate this with external stakeholder
  • Assist in the strategic planning and development of the company and execute business growth strategies as required.
  • Proactively monitor and conduct research on the health and fitness industry, market trends, competitors and current/potential partners. Ensure this information is shared internally with relevant departments and is used to create and maintain strategy to optimise success.
  • Attend when relevant opportunity arises, present at industry related functions (meetings, events, conferences) to canvas relevant information and ensure that the company is recognised as an industry leader.
  • Develop positive relationships with new/potential stakeholders (ie, clients, partners, and industry representatives) and effectively manage and retain existing
  • Conduct necessary research, including financial analysis and prepare proposals and pitches as required.
  • Conduct and manage negotiation conversations to ensure deals are conducted in a professional manner and that the company strategic goals are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Essential - 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Essential – Relevant Bachelor Degree and/or MBA
  • Desirable – experience in the health and fitness industry
  • Desirable – experience working for a global and/or technology based company
