Due to the growth and business opportunity we are working together with our client to expand its Small Business Services by creating a brand new team in Melbourne.

As part of the development we are also recruiting for a Business Development Manager/ Sales Leader who will be responsible for growing the Small Business Services Business to Business as well as leading the Business Development Executives.

You will lead and coach the sales team in developing a solid pipeline of prospects, acquisition and growth opportunities within the Small Business market. This role will lead staff including Business Development Executives and sales support staff to deliver customer acquisition and ensure that they are sold on to the most appropriate product to drive billings and customer satisfaction.

There is a requirement to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders at senior levels, as well as a thorough understanding of the competitive environment within the Small Business segment.

The team’s client interaction involves telephone & electronic engagement with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience whilst maximizing sales efficiency & effectiveness.

• Ensure the team has a high level of knowledge on products, underwriting policy, legal constraints and system or processes within the department

• Proven capability in developing and implementing various business strategies
• Experience in direct sales and B2B corporate sales management
• Proven ability to create a high performing team and to motivate team members to deliver targets
• Previous experience of working within a regulated industry with a high level of compliance is necessary
• Confident, resilient and willing to go the extra mile to be a success
