Client Service - Administration

This NSW Government Department has new and exciting opportunities for multiple client service managers to start immediately. You will be responsible for the effective provision of a variety of housing services to a diverse range of clients and will be expected to be committed to providing quality service in the context of complex and difficult social issues. Additionally, you will provide a broad range of applicant, tenancy and property management services and advice to clients, advocates and other stakeholders. This opportunity will allow you to utilise your previous experience in a similar role and ensure the smooth running of this office. Your resume must reflect an ability to manage confronting situations, and display evidence of responsiveness to the needs of people with special circumstances including Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders, people from non-English speaking background and people with disabilities.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Work directly with clients and their advocates to provide advice and assistance on housing options
  • Work collaboratively with internal specialists and external service providers and make referrals as required
  • Support tenancy and community participation initiatives to contribute to harmonious neighbourhoods and stronger communities
  • Monitor property condition and facilitate maintenance and minor modifications where necessary

Your profile will demonstrate:

  • Own car + a FULL clean drivers licence
  • Experience in dealing with a diverse range of clients with complex needs (eg mental health, substance misuse, homelessness, and disabilities)
  • Previous experience of working within community/employment services/real estate/ mental health would be desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills and be able to manage conflicts and expectations of clients
  • An ability to hit the ground running with exceptional attention to detail
  • Availability to start immediately on a full-time basis
