Our client is seeking Communications Officer to come on board to assist the Leadership Academy team. The Academy has been established to design programs to create a pipeline of future leaders for the sector at each key level of leadership.

A key responsibility of this role will be to manage the LMS system therefore experience with and exposure to learning management systems and an ability to maintain them is essential. In addition, experience and skills in communications and marketing (campaigns, communication plans, content curation). Strong Administration Skills are required to take responsibility for the management and administration of the LMS & Social Collaboration and the Mentoring system.

Duties will include:

  • Establishing the needs of users and monitoring access and security
  • Maintaining data standards as well as adherence to relevant legislation
  • Writing user documentation including standards, procedures and definitions
  • Controlling access permissions and privileges
  • Working closely with IT project managers (ie, suppliers) and be able to translate complex technical concepts into plain english for the wider leadership academy community
  • Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure data integrity and security
  • Exception communication skills with an ability to write and edit copy to support a consistent brand and brand-related initiatives for the leadership academy.
  • Write and edit copy, photo edit images using specialist software, manage audio and video uploads and channels, and edit and publish material on the digital platform, working with stakeholders to identify their content needs and utilise the latest methods to create content of an optimum type and format to maximise engagement and best meet specific objectives
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Capacity to support the team - training, developing systems, procedures and processes related to the website and LMS and Social Collaboration site.
