Contract Administrator role on a $17m School project

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join a well established and respected commercial builder in Melbourne. This excellent CA opportunity will give the successful candidate an opportunity to grow and develop their career with a growing company who are also part of one of the biggest commercial builders in Australia. The first project is a $17m new build school project in the city fringe. My client is looking for someone that wants to grow and develop a long term career and has the drive and attributes to quickly progress into a PM.

The Role

Working hand in hand with the Project Manager and will liaise closely with the Regional Commercial Manager. Within this group your core skills and experience will include:

  • Procure, package and negotiate sub-contracts through to final account
  • Administration of all claims, variations, progress payments and contract correspondence
  • Strong budget management and reporting
  • Accurate preparation of monthly management reports

The Company and Projects

My client is a Melbourne construction industry icon in the 2nd tier, with an unrivalled reputation built over many successful years. My client’s core markets are challenging Pharmaceutical, Hospitals and University projects in the range of $5m - $30m but they also worked jobs up to $60m. The first project you will undertake is a $17m new build project for one of Melbourne’s most renowned private school.

The Candidate

The right candidate will be a proven Contract Administrator with between 2-5 years experience and ideally worked on similar challenging institutional or health projects.

Other core skills will include:

  • Procure, package and negotiate sub-contracts through to final account
  • Administration of all claims, variations, progress payments and contract correspondence
  • Strong budget management and reporting
  • Accurate preparation of monthly management reports
