About the Role

The Project/Contract Manager will provide effective and efficient Contract Management to the project team. This is a multi-million dollar infrastructure project based in Western Sydney.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective Contract Management including managing day to day section to ensure time, cost, quality and scope requirements are met within the overall project scheme.
  • Preparation and continual monitoring of the section's financial aspects including; forecasting and accruals
  • Work with the Contract/Commercial Manager in assessing and managing claims
  • Continually review the projects forthcoming risks, issues and schedule including developing potential areas using flexible and workable solutions
  • Leand and mentor the section team and drive the section to provide optimum decisions through continuous support
  • Review and implement strategies, procedures, guidelines and practices to ensure high level of WH&S, environmental management, stakeholder consultation and quality is achieved.


  • A relevant four year engineering (Civil/Structurtal or related) degree
  • Demonstrated experience in managing major infrastructure or other complex projects, suh as road, bridge, maritime and where applicable, tunnel projects with a strong knowledge of either project implementation, including contract management, or project development
  • Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in road, bridge, maritime and, where applicable, tunnel construction
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective implementation of Quality Assurance systems, WH&S, risk environmental management and related computer based management tools for projects
  • Demonstrated ability as an effective manager, with high level skills in the leadership and management of multi-disciplinary teams
  • High level communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in the preparation of tender documentation, tendering processes and/or overseeing professional service and/or construction contractors including undertaking the role of authorised delegate
  • Proven high level project management skills, strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with demonstrated initiative and flexibility
