about the role

Seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to join my client who operate in the Local Government sector. The roles are a month to month temporary basis with potential to extend. Roles will be on a 3-5 days/week basis, and candidates need to be available for the 5 days. You may be required to work across various sites within the area, so reliable access to your own vehicle is required. Hours may vary from 20 - 38 dependant on the need of the business

You will initially join the client within a call handling environment in order to expose you to a wide range of queries that you will encounter in the role. After 2-3 months (depending on performance), you will then proceed to counter services - again dealing with a wide range of queries, as well as cash handling.

duties & responsibilities

  • Dealing with a wide range of queries, whilst striving for first point resolution
  • Providing a high level of customer service on every interaction
  • Ensuring that any associated admin is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Working collaboratively with the immediate team and other departments
  • Following policies and procedures set by the client
  • Any other duties required by the client

skills & expertise

  • Previous Local Council experience will be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Previous experience with Pathways system also highly regarded, but not essential
  • Must have recent experience of providing exceptional customer service; from BOTH a face-to-face (including cash handling) and high-call handling role
  • Previous exposure to a CRM system
  • Must be well presented
  • Ability to display resilience, thinking on your feet, and a capacity to take on a wide range of information across many areas in a quick manner
